Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 6, 2026

Dos Casas is a co-parenting app that helps two-household families coordinate through shared messaging, a document vault, a custody calendar, and access to a fixed pool of family-law attorneys. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Dos Casas is currently in beta testing through Apple TestFlight — features and data practices may change as the app develops, and we'll update this page when they do.

Who we are

Dos Casas is operated by Code Nurturers LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy applies to the Dos Casas mobile app (the "App") and covers information collected through your use of it.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your phone number, along with your language preference and any avatar image you choose to add. Signing in requires an account with us.

Household and children's information. To use the App, a parent or guardian creates or joins a household and can add profiles for their children, including name, date of birth, and optional notes. This information is entered by the parent or guardian, not by the child, and is visible to other members of that household.

Messages and files. Messages, attachments, and documents you send or upload — including in the shared document vault (for example custody agreements, school forms, medical records, or financial documents) — are stored so household members can access them. Access to messaging and the document vault requires you to be signed in.

Calendar information. Custody schedules, events, and swap requests you or another household member create are stored and shared with the relevant household.

Legal consult requests. If you request a consultation, we collect the topic and details you provide and share them with the attorney you select from our fixed pool of lawyers, so they can respond to your request.

Technical information. Like most apps, we collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the App, such as login activity and basic device information.

How we use information

We use the information above to provide the App's core features — messaging, the document vault, the shared calendar, and legal consult requests — to authenticate you and secure your account, to respond to support requests, and to maintain and improve the App.

How information is shared

  • With other members of your household, since that's the purpose of shared messaging, the document vault, and the calendar.
  • With the attorney you select, only when you submit a legal consult request.
  • With service providers who help us host and operate the App (such as backend hosting and infrastructure), who may process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
  • If required to do so by law or valid legal process.

We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.

Children's information

Dos Casas is intended for use by adult parents and guardians, not by children directly. Information about children is entered by a parent or guardian to support co-parenting coordination. If you believe a child has created an account or provided information to us directly, please contact us and we will remove it.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, such as requiring sign-in to access messaging and the document vault, to help protect your information. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account or household remains active, or as needed to provide the App's features. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time using the contact information below.

Your choices

You can review and update your profile and notification preferences in the App. You may also contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to ask us any questions about this policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App develops, particularly as we move beyond the current beta. We'll update the effective date above when we do, and for significant changes we'll provide notice in the App.
